The content it supplies is more than most modern games are willing to give you and for much higher prices. Overall, This game was very enjoyable, comedic and cheesy. The writing is pretty bad in a good way, the game follows the asthetic of a "stupid zombie movie" and really owns it in a way that seems honest and genuine. Besides this game is very funny and often had me chuckling in both gameplay and in cutscenes.

The story is written like an 80`s movie and the asthetic matches it, with the narrator anouncing each mission with a cheasy title card before you play. Without giving too much away, the story is headed by a CIA agent and detective, the detective is your steriotypical black detective turned up to 11, he constantly curses (i don`t think there was one sentance that he doesn`t swear in) and is incredibly sexist towards the female characters. Even one of the zombies is killed with the sentence "Fire the writer". The story of this game is incredibly stupid, in a fun and in a way that the game owns it. But considering the story of this game, i don`t think i would want another story campaign as DLC. The DLC does not add a whole lot, just more words and sentences you can type out to kill zombies. Including minigames that you can play if you cant be bothered to sit through the cutscenes of the story missions (you can hit ENTER to skip them but it takes a while for the game to register your input). When you finish the orignal story in the house of the dead gamemode you get access to the directors cut which is a whole new experience, For 20 dollars this game sure does include a lot of content. For me, this was the more enjoyable than the original gamemode, with a large variety of weapons to choose from. However, the typing of the dead portion of the game sometimes gets tedious and repetitive, when this happens i just switch to the "House of the dead" gamemode, which largely consists of using just the mouse instead of the keyboard to kill zombies. With the later levels making my keyboard sound like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ machine gun. An issue i strongly suggest gets fixed.īesides this, The game is actually quite fun, the typing of the dead offers fast paced, keyboard-breaking gameplay.

Finally i went into windows settings and adjusted which graphics processer it used, which worked. I tried going into nividia control panel and adjusting the settings there, but that didn`t seem to work and it kept crashing. Realising that it was an issue with the fact that i have two graphics processers in my computer and for some reason and that the game only runs using my PCs intergrated graphics. I had to google for responses and spent 3 hours deleting and reinstalling the game, almost giving up thinking that i had been cheated out on $40 of my own money (i bought the DLC). There`s so many things to say about this game.įirstly i had issues on startup, it kept on opening on a blank screen and then crashing.
